On May 27, 1997, the atmosphere over Jarrell, Texas, produced a meteorological anomaly — one of the most powerful and frightening tornadoes ever recorded.
This F5 tornado earned its nickname "Dead Man Walking" due to its distinct multi-vortex structure that resembled a walking giant. However, the truly terrifying aspect of this storm was its incredibly slow speed. Moving at just a few miles per hour, it scoured the earth with unimaginable violence.
