The storm
Despite looking like their more dangerous cousin (the tornado), the dust devil (also known locally as a dirt devil) is a strong yet short-lived whirlwind often forming during the summer in temperate and tropical regions. Dust devils are unique in the fact that they form both on Earth and on Mars. They can be dangerous (about as strong as an EF0 tornado) but rarely cause injuries and seldom cause deaths.
